Window Tinting Process

Window Tinting Process

Our Process
Step 1 - Arrival
At this stage we will discuss what your desired outcome is. We have a wide range of shades to choose from and examples to show you what they will look like. We will then inspect your vehicle together and make sure everything is in order.

At this point you are more than welcome to have a look round our showroom, or wait in our dedicated customer waiting area. In this waiting area you will find comfortable seating with free access to Wi-Fi, a TV where you can play on Play Station or watch Netflix. Along with complimentary refreshments and toilet facilities. We also have a link into our workshop CCTV system should you wish to watch the progress of your vehicle.

Step 2 - Protect
Every vehicle that comes to us is fitted with temporary mats, seat cover and steering wheel cover. Our industry is not exactly a dirty one, however we prefer to take every precaution when your pride and joy is in our care.

Step 3 - Cleanse
This step is 100% optional!! When installing window film, we need to shrink it on the exterior of the vehicle before fitting it to the inside of the glass. Depending on the vehicle, this often involves leaning across the vehicle. If there is heavy soiling present on the exterior this could cause slight scratching of your paint (swirl marks). Due to this we will use a high-pressure wash and rinse with an industrial grade pressure washer (Ehrle HD723). This means that when lightly resting on your vehicle we will not damage your paintwork.

Step 4 - Cut and Shrink
As mentioned in step 3, we will shrink the film and cut it to the required size. We use special blades to ensure the glass does not get scratched and temperature adjustable heat guns (best on the market) to make sure we do not overheat anything.

Step 5 - Install
The film is then installed on the inside of the glass. When working on the inside of your car, our fitters wear foot protection to ensure no interior trims are marked. Gloves are also often worn to make sure no marks of any kind are left. This also reduces the risk of marking the film before its installed.

Step 6 - Clean and Inspect
Once the film is installed, we clean the windows thoroughly and inspect for any defects or contamination. Due to the points mentioned above, this rarely happens, but if anything is found the film will be removed and redone till we are happy with it, and as your probably guessing by now our standards are very high.

Step 7 - Handover and walk round
At this point we will contact you to let you know your vehicle is ready for collection. If you are taking advantage of our onsite facilities, we will let you know it’s ready.
