Light Tinting Process

Light Tinting Process

Our Process
Step 1 - Arrival
At this stage we will discuss what desired light tints you would like. We have a wide range of shades to choose from and examples to show you what they will look like. We will then inspect your vehicle together and make sure everything is in order.

At this point you are more than welcome to have a look round our showroom, or wait in our dedicated customer waiting area. In this waiting area you will find comfortable seating with free access to Wi-Fi, a TV where you can play on Play Station or watch Netflix. Along with complimentary refreshments and toilet facilities. We also have a link into our workshop CCTV system should you wish to watch the progress of your vehicle.

Step 2 - Protect
As with every vehicle that visits out workshop, we want to look after it. We do this by fitting them with temporary mats, seat cover and steering wheel cover. Our industry is not exactly a dirty one, however we prefer to take every precaution when your pride and joy is in our care.

Step 3 - Template
A rough template is made and some film is cut from the roll using this template.

Step 4 - Install
This is a dry application, meaning no water is used. The film is shrank down and fitted at the same time. Temperature adjustable heat guns (best on the market) are used to make sure we do not overheat anything as most lights are made of plastic.

Step 5 - Trim
Unlike with window tinting, the excess is cut off at the end. We use special covered blades to make sure the blade does not come in contact with any paintwork.

Step 6 - Clean and Inspect
Once the film is installed, we clean the lights thoroughly and inspect for any defects or contamination. This rarely happens, but if anything is found the film will be removed and redone till we are happy with it, and as your probably guessing by now our standards are very high.

Step 6 - Handover and walk round
At this point we will contact you to let you know your vehicle is ready for collection. If you are taking advantage of our onsite facilities, we will let you know it’s ready.
